Swinging In Paradise

Book Description: What do you get when you drop eleven sexy friends in the middle of the ocean on a pristine private beach with a seemingly endless supply of cocktails? The Crew, as they lovingly refer to themselves, is about to find out. The group has grown close over the years, both in, and out of "the lifestyle." After six months of drudgery since their last outing together, they are more than ready for their next great sexual adventure--The island of Beora West.

After the initial buzz wears off, their curiosity gets the better of them and they set off to explore the island. What they find is nothing short of baffling, but there are some secrets even the untamed jungle around them can't hide. When one of them disappears, it becomes clear things are not what they seem. Who is behind the hidden agenda that brought them all to Beora West? What happened to their friend...and what dangers lie beyond the barricaded north shores?

What the Crew finds is more than they bargained for, but what they lose may be too much to endure.

WARNING THIS BOOK MAY CONTAIN MATERIAL YOU MAY FIND OFFENSIVE! There are multiple erotic scenes containing: FFFF, MMFF, FMFM, etc... if you find same sex relations, partner swapping, or bisexuality in anyway offensive you may not wish to purchase this book.

The beginning of the book had me a little frazzled. There was a lot of information packed in the first 1/4 of the book, a bit more than was really necessary for me, but it was fun learning about each character and their individual quirks. Once the "meet and greet" if you will, was done with, the book started to really take shape. Each and every character was well written, and the author took care in keeping their "quirks" intact throughout the entirety of the book.

There were 5 couples that were dropped off on an island resort thinking they were in for a real good time. Drinks all a plenty, naked women and men, and all of the sex they could handle. There were a few bumps in the road for one couple trying to get to their destination, but it was all in good fun. During that flight, you meet someone who will be important by the end of the book, leaving you with some unanswered questions. Once the couples were all settled in, the story took on a life of it's own. Of course all of the couples knew each other from a previous "vacation" they took 6 months prior so they were all familiar with each other. This book talks a lot about self acceptance and accepting others without judgement. It brought me into a world of the unfamiliar and I have to say, it was quite refreshing to see.

But, there is something going on in this little private paradise that some of the occupants are not aware of. Of course, you don't find that out until later, but the author gives you really good hints in between. The debauchery that goes on is outstanding! Meanwhile, while all of the fun is going on, there is something devious afoot and the couples don't find out what until later, or do they? I guess you will have to read it to find out.

There, of course, were some really scorching, sexy scenes. Some, very light hearted scenes which had me in hysterics, and some that had you doubling back and saying what the heck? The mystery of the island had me baffled, and once I finished the book I had more questions than answers. Which leads me to believe that the author will be nice enough to write a second book. :)

The book was a bit over-long and I wished it was a bit shorter, but all in all it was a great mix of a whole lot of things. This was a great debut novel and I can't wait to read more from this author! I'm going to have to keep a close eye on him and so should you!

Favorite Quotes:

"The people were preferred to hang out with had often been rejected at face value. Perhaps they were quirky, or just misunderstood."

"Whatever the variable, the things had sent other running, were often the characteristics that led us to them in the first place."

"There is always another bunch of dysfunctional fucked up misfits that are just like us. We know that with them we can always be true to ourselves and allow them to do the same."

"Be the best version of yourself, and never waiver in that."

"The shadows and doubt could be dealt with as they came. I learned a lot along the way by opening my heart, and when the tough times in my life came along, I faced them head on."

"That girl was a walking contradiction and when we were both hooked. She was quiet and feisty. She was a lover and a fighter. She was small, but somehow larger than life."

"I see how it is," Trik said, pouting dramatically. "I thought what we had was special. We are not even gone yet, and you are already planning your next sexual conquest. You broke my heart, Todd. You broke my heart."

"Focus, children." Todd laughed, removing himself as Trik's human shield.

"Right, sorry," I said laughing. "Okay, our mission, pull Steve's wood out of his hole."

"I'll come too," Hether said, eye fucking me intently. The woman was a poster-child for "resting bitch face" so I honestly couldn't tell if she was making eyes at me or if she was pissed off."

"Well, you have a choice. You either sink to the bottom or you figure out how to turn yourself into a tug boat and keep on chuggin."

"I think we end up where we do because we accept pieces fro everyone that comes into our lives, and smash them together to make up a technicolor version of ourselves."

"Do not mistake my kindness for weakness!"

This ARC was given to me by the author for an honest review:

Addison Beltrand is the usual work-a-holic woman after her fiance died in a car accident. She didn't have time for dating, and or men. Not to say that she hadn't missed any of that, but she felt broken. She wanted to shut the world out and just not think.. Little did she know that her world was going to be turned upside down by not one but two men. Addison works as a PR rep at Bold International where she has to go on tour for 12 weeks with non other than 69 Bottles. One woman, five men, 12 weeks, trapped on a bus... sounds delicious right? HA! She is a no nonsense kind of girl when it comes to her job, but she finds herself attracted to the lead singer. Oh uh... What is a girl to do! Not only is she attracted to the lead singer she feels a connection to the bands manager. Eek! Can you say a little trouble brewing there? Addison is a character that will grow on you as you read on. The author did a great job trying to balance her past grief, and her new attraction(s). Addison is incredibly charming and witty, and has enough gumption to captivate the reader.

Talon Carver the lead singer of 69 Bottles. Total charmer, with a hint of alpha male. He likes his women one way... and that is to have sex and go. No romance for this man. That is until he sees the incredible Addison standing in his bus. I found Talon to be the typical rock star figure. He took what he wanted, when he wanted and how he wanted, then discarded with no thought of the other person. But as I kept reading, I found that he had a soft spot for Addison, and that turned things around for me. You also find out a little about him and his past by the end of the book, which was a bit heart wrenching, and makes you want to grab onto him and not let go. Talon also finds himself attracted to Kyle, especially when Kyle is near Addison. As he has never had feelings for another man, he is a bit shell shocked but welcomes the feelings with open arms.

Kyle Black is the charismatic manager to the band, and he has a secret he tries to keep to himself. He knows that if his secret surfaces, it might change the dynamics of the growing attraction Addison has for him. He is quiet, and a little reserved, which I find completely out of sorts for this type of character. He is not pushy, and/or conceited, but he's an all around good guy. He is by no means a pushover, but he is willing to let go of his attraction of Addison for the sake of the band and her happiness. The problem with that, is that he is not only attracted to Addison but Talon as well. What is a man to do?! You have to read the book and find out. :)

There are several twists and turns in this book and Zoey takes you through them effortlessly. She plays on the characters insecurities, and you, as the reader, feel the same apprehension and uncertainties as the characters in the book. You cheer them on when something good happens, and then of course, when the bad stuff comes to play, it tugs at your heart strings. The love scenes are explosive and will make you squirm in your seat. The one fear I did have was an all out MMF scene, but Zoey eases you into it, with light touches and looks throughout the book before really going full throttle. There was a good mix of humor in the book as well, which I found really great! There is a plethora of fun characters in this first book and I can't wait to reconnect with each and every single one in the upcoming books! I am sure that this series will take off like a rocket and each book will get better and better!

Favorite Quotes:

"You must be Addison," he says in a sweet, sexy, and completely panty melting voice as he parts the sea of Dex and Peacock. "I'm Talon."

"Whatever, Dex. She doesn't need to open your curtain to you spankin' your junk. Don't need to scare the poor girl."

"She's rather hypnotic, isn't she?" I hear one of the guys say, though I don't know their voices well enough to decipher whether it was Kyle or Talon who spoke. "You boys seriously need to get laid," I tease them all. "We're trying," they all spout back in unison and just like that the sexual tension explodes on the bus and I know without a doubt that I'm screwed seven ways from Sunday, big time."

"She's been on this bus for all twenty minutes and every single one of us has already eye fucked her at least once."

"It ain't no pinky, sweetheart. It's an anaconda," he bites back."

"He pouts. Maybe a little. You cockblocked me." "She probably has rabies. You'll get over it."

"Because of that, among other things, I wonder if I've ever really dealt with it because even now, seven years later, I haven't gotten over it, or at least it still haunts me."

"Let us do this. Let us take care of you," Talon whispers in my ear and my head falls back to his shoulder as the pleasure rocks through me. "This is not about us. This is about us taking care of our girl."

"I kiss his hair and run my fingers through his messy beard. "Why are you so scared?" "Because I fucking need this. I need you," he says with sincerity and emotion is pouring out of every inch of his body."

"Do you want to know why I do the things that I do for people?" He nods. "I do them because they make them happy and seeing them happy makes me happy. Is it selfish? Sure, in a way, but the person on the receiving end gets the glory, I get the reward."

"I've always been the girl in the shadows, the girl behind the scenes, hiding from the crowd because that is where I feel I belong. You and Kyle put me on a pedestal that I'm not ready to stand on."

"I kept my ink to myself because it makes me appreciate a true piece of art, not because someone else enjoys it for a while and discards it like it was nothing. Which is how I've lived my life - in the discard pile. Ready when someone needs me and then back into the pile I go."

"Take My scars Hide them away Save me From The Man who Tries to take me Away from The Person I'm trying to Become. The man I want to be Desperate To be Free."

"I settle back against the couch, taking a deep breath that for the first time makes me feel freer than I've ever felt in my entire life. We've claimed her as our own, and in the process, we're claiming each other. "With her, the world is brighter, the colors more vibrant. She's ours," I breathe."

White Knight Dom Academy: The Beginning

Book Description: Lucian and Tara have survived the Dom Wars but can they survive reigning as Mr. and Mrs. Dildo USA?

Maybe they could if they weren't having to do it in Gramma's stuck up religious home-town. All they have to do is train vanilla couples in the art of Dominance and submission--and sell one of every item in Gladiator's adult-toy catalog within a certain time frame.

Not to fear, Steve comes to the rescue once again, only this time, he brings his wife who has addictions you would never guess.

And failing is not an option. If they're to collect all of their winnings, they must comply with these terms. But if they're going to keep the family name in tact and not get Gramma booted from her own home-town, they need to pull off their kink-heist without getting caught.

Let the games continue.

This story picks up where DOM Wars left off. Lucian and Tara have won the game, and now they are faced with a new set of challenges, and a few interesting set of characters.

Lucian and Tara are off to spring Dorothy aka Gramma from the nursing home that she's been in since Tara was trying to win DOM Wars. Where Lucian was expecting a frail old woman, what he got was a little spit fire of a woman. He immediately falls in love with her... Not in the same sense as he loves Tara, just in a Gramma kind of way. But then again who wouldn't fall head over heels over Gramma. She is feisty, loud and just completely a great character all around. She has this really huge heart, and wants the best for Tara, and now Luscious (Lucian) as she lovingly calls him.

After springing Gramma, they are faced with trying to come up with a way of getting five couples trained in the D/s lifestyle as well as selling them goodies from the company that sponsored the game. Oh boy! They also have to do this in a very unfriendly town where Gramma and Tara are not well liked. Not to mention they are planning a wedding in the middle of all of this chaos, when an old acquaintance comes to call. If things couldn't get any worse... Right? Right! Lucian and Tara need some help, so they call on an old friend, Steve, who is ready to help them out. The only catch is that he has to bring his wife Susan along for the ride.

What we end up is with a very romantic, sexy and down right hilarious book all rolled into one. I found myself smiling more and more as I read along, and even laughed out loud in some parts. It's amazing how the author can pick up from where he left off in the first series and make you feel like you are among your own friends. The cast of quirky characters, new and old, will have you smiling from the very beginning. Now, don't get me wrong... even though I thought the book had it's funny moments, which were through the entirety of the book, the sex scenes were smoking hot!  This was a great start to what I am sure will be another great series by the author.

As with anything else, there were some editing issues, but if you can get past those, this was a great quick read.

Favorite Quotes:

"A man should know how to cook, so he doesn't need to marry just to eat." Lucian winked at Tara. "My mother taught me that."

"I aim to find what you're made of and iffin it ain't good, out you go."

"Hair looks like an ancient spider done spun a silver web right on my head while I slept."

"You don't mind going to town with a gray haired, toothless-wonder I hope."

"Lucian's gut tickled with the beaming smile she gave him. Fuck, he was pretty addicted to those. They always held these layers of joy and it gave him a rush."

"Her purse came at his head and he threw up his arm to block it. "I'm not your damn Gramma!" Before he could worry if he'd be fighting an eighty year old woman for the steering wheel, she was already stalking around the front of the car, mouth-a-moving and chin-a-bobbing."

"Lucian sat in the awkward silence for what felt like eons, waiting for hell-fire and brimstone."

"I'm going to ride your face until I'm thrashing, until I come so very hard all over your lips and tongue. But before I do that, I'm going to punish you."

"People think what they want regardless. We're not here to please them, we're here to look out for our family."

"I fibbed a bit. He's really a fat Chinese pimp."

"I can't look at his meaty face without seeing that hairy vagina from those horrific toys we were forced to sell. Thank God that's over with."

"Wait," Steve held up a hand. "You mean to say they're expecting people in a town like this to have synthetic sexual organs delivered to their door step?"

"Like that nightmarish lady part," he whispered. "A farmer would never guess what that is. He could use it as some type of... scarecrow, or... mop if you mount a stick in that devil's abyss."

"His mouth moved to the words and she realized he was singing to her."

"You torment me." The whisper came harsh as he nibbled along the soft skin, his fingers biting as he kissed his way to his mark."

"She's not a wife. She's ... something else. A demon I think," he said serious as shit."

"When I am home," he hissed. "She is a living, breathing, penis raping machine."

"She's not normal. She's got the sex drive of Ursula."

"She's a vagina with arms, and legs, and two faces."

"Do you realize she'll want to be one of the couples in your class?" He nearly spat, like the very words were foul. "Are you prepared for that? To train a she-demon? You'll need to staff a priest. A satanic priest."

"Tara Reese, you stole my heart the moment I met you. Everything about you..." Lucian paused to breath around the sudden buildup of emotions. "Everything about you answered... every hunger. Every need. Every longing that I had. I didn't realize it then, Tara, but... you saved me from myself, a man I hated, and you made me..." Lucian wiped his face on his shoulder. "... you made me into the man I was meant to be. Your husband. Your protector. Your soul mate."
