Interview with Marata Eros

Hello everyone! I am very excited to have the opportunity to interview this fantastic author after the wake of her newest release Baird from her fabulous Druids Series, which you can find here:

I met Marata a couple of years ago on Shelfari, if you don't know what that is, think Goodreads on a smaller scale. :) I got her first Druids book as a freebie and fell head over heels in love with the characters. Talk about intense, heart pounding, action packed with scorching heat in one little book! Phew! I also got her Dara Nichols series which was out of this world erotic. If you haven't read any of these, you are completely missing out. These are not for the faint of heart and are dark, edgy and totally mind blowing.

She approached me on that particular site and I have to say that I had what is now referred to as a fan girl moment. She completely blew me out of the water, and as I've told her many times, she intimidated me like no one's business. Turns out, she is one of the most warmest, kindest, loving person, and lets not forget a total riot! This woman can make me laugh at a drop of a hat! *wink* She is a total charmer. I recently called her a goddess of erotic artistry, and it really does fit her to a tee. So with all of that said, it is my absolute pleasure to introduce you all to Marata Eros! Enjoy.

Tell us about yourself:

M: I'm a happily married mother of four sons. I love working with my hands, and in my spare time I'm usually gardening or working on house projects that involve woodworking. I also adore reading. I try to read 2-4 books per week at least.

What made you decide to write dark fiction literature in particular? Is there any other genre you’d like to write?  If so, why?

M: I didn't mean to write dark fiction. It was only after the first five titles or so I began to see the trend. It is what I gravitate toward as a reader so I must also enjoy writing [it]. I have not yet tried my hand at true horror or strict mystery/thriller but plan to dip my toe in those waters in the upcoming year.

What inspired you to write your first book?

M: I'm aware TWILIGHT has its share of dissenters but at the time, it was revolutionary. Vampires that sparkle? Young adult fiction? Now I say: thank you JK Rowling and Stephenie Meyer. Those two put YA on the map and opened doors for all of us who wanted to exhaust the unique in our work. My first book was completed in 2007. I also wrote something quite different. A vamp book that has become more than what it began as. BLOOD SINGERS is that original work and I'm quite happy my third son pressed me to publish it or I might not even be writing at present!

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

M: That's so easy it's criminal: Stephen King, hands down!

What are your current projects?

M: I am currently immersed in a secret book I can't talk about (I know, sorry), and a short novel that will be the third in The Siren Series, BRANDON. I'm also getting ready to write the 6th novel in The Savage Series, a dark post-apocalyptic fantasy under my real name, Tamara Rose Blodgett.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

M: I am crazy about my secret book and since I'm such a big blabber mouth it is painful for me not to say absolutely nothing. All I can say is it's a departure from my typical work. In that, I've added foreign elements and I'm playing race against type. What? (I can hear you guys screaming from here!) What I mean is, nothing about it will be expected, stereotypical or predictable. Early feedback has been more than I could hope for and I'm stoked. This will be a 2015 full length novel. I love the challenge of stretching myself.

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

M: I used to get everything Laurell K. Hamilton wrote. I especially loved her Anita Blake books 1-10 and adored the Gentry series up to the last book. I hold a lot of respect for an author who can take a series to over 20 books! That is so impressive. Hamilton beautifully combines dark fiction with the following elements: horror, suspense, thriller, mystery and erotic romance. No one does it better. And I know other readers will understand when I say: It feels as though she writes exactly the words I want to read. Like it's my fave ice cream flavor over and over. It's uncanny and wonderful.

Do you have any advice for other writers who are just starting out?

M: Yes. Write. Write some more. Finish. Pay for edits. Buy great cover art. Treat everyone well. Rinse and repeat.

Where and/or how do you find the greatest inspiration?

M: Life has been an excellent teacher. I'm a big observer of others and am endlessly fascinated with the differences among people. I daydream a lot and love being alive. I take it all in like a big sponge and a lot of those nuances get regurgitated into my work. There's plenty of every day things I use. A great source of inspiration are my readers. They're just regular folks like me, who want to be entertained by a storyteller. I get it. I dig the same thing.

What appears first when contemplating a new project: A character, the plot and/or the title?

M: Always the title. Then the characters begin talking, then I “find” their name(s), then they “tell” me their story (plot).

What’s the hardest part of a novel for you to write: Beginning, middle and/or end? Why?

M: Beginning. It has to be gripping and dramatic for some reason. I always feel that getting past the 60% mark in a work seems to be a turning point where it comes easier, though less so now as when I first began.

Writing sex/romantic scenes can be a challenge for some authors. Do you find it difficult? If yes, how do you compensate? If no, where do you draw your inspiration?

M: Writing sex and/or violence is an absolute joy. I won't lie, the inspiration for sex is simple: I love sex. LOVE. My amazing husband encouraged me to write erotica in the first place and even made up my pen name. How's that for faith, girls? Lol. The violence part has been researched. I never have a work that does not include both of the above in some form, large or small. I don't know what that means but it's just what it is.

Do you have a method you use to write the sensual parts? Do you prefer the sex to be bold and in your face? Or left to the imagination?

M: I don't have a method. All my writing is done very organically. I'm quite devoted to my job. Action scenes (sexual and violence or other) are always easiest by far. As is comedic dialog. I think both subtlety and boldness can be played to the advantage of the writer for scenes of sensuality, though those take more skill. It is very important (in my works) that an intimate scene play like a movie inside the readers' head. If the sex scene is not hot to me, I couldn't write it. Yes, that goes for all my work, every word.

Who is your favorite character, which you’ve created? And why?

M: Oooh... I loved Cas in A BRUTAL TENDERNESS and THORN of THE TOKEN 7. They are very “real” to me. I can't describe it but I felt as though I was “cheating” in the writing. Like a voyeur writing everything I saw them do. It was simple and raw; beautiful.

Tell us about your newest release.

THE DRUID SERIES 9: BAIRD just released on 8/22/14. It is the second book of the spin off from the main Druid Breeders series. It is a dark paranormal erotica which contains elements of horror, dark erotica, romance, suspense, thriller and dubon themes. Witchcraft and vampires who breed women of Druid descent come into play. Some of the language is archaic and both books 8 & 9 take place in Europe. The bundle of the first three volumes is currently free at Amazon.

Blurb:
Siana has disappeared. As an Exotic and Druid warrior queen, she is not beholden to the magick call of sex slavery as the Druid witches of her upbringing. She does not realize as she runs, Baird and Kael follow with opposing agendas.

Now that Jessamine is within the subjugation of the undead, the Druid females will be ruled by the fair hand of Imogen and her Reaper Kings, Carrig and Quinn. When a gathering of remaining Druid priests come against the new kingdom, the Reapers find their numbers too few to protect the stronghold.

Altho and the gifted Druid female Seraphina cannot reconcile the inception of their relationship, and her promise to be his. Altho seeks guidance from the Reaper leader, Maghnus... only to discover they vie for more than power alone.

Can Siana obtain the freedom she wishes and the love she denies? Will the new kingdom of Reapers succeed in the protection of their Druid females? Do Altho and Maghnus hold the key to revolutionizing the power structure of both Druid and Reaper?

Fun Questions:

When you need a break, what do you do to recharge?

M: I strip antique wood of old paint and varnish. Or, I go out for a nice supper with the fam. I'm currently digging riding around with Hubs on the mortorcycle....
And about that riding part....LOL.

What’s the one thing you can't write without?

M: Music. Ever....

If you could choose anywhere in the world to set up your desk and write, where would you like it to be?

M: I write on my couch, often in my pajamas (I'm nuts for them and have an embarrassing amount). I love being in Mexico best. But I haven't been everywhere yet :)

Who is on your "keeper" shelf?

M: Laurell K. Hamilton and Stephen King. I also like JR Ward's work. They're my “mac & cheese” writers.

Are you reading anything currently?

M: Always: The Decimation of Mae.

Where do you see your writing career in the next five to ten years?

M: I'll still be writing. And hopefully, readers will still be reading.

Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

M: Joyful simpleton!

Why are you, you? What sets you apart from other authors?

M: What a insightful question! I don't know why I'm me, though I've often wondered. In the end, I was grateful to be who I am. Most would say I am a prolific writer.

Do you have any other creative talents?

M: I can do a lot of things with my hands and have always felt compelled to craft, sew, do woodworking, etc. I can even draw a little bit and am a fair photographer. Alas, I am not really that great at anything. I'm kinda good at a lot of little things if that makes sense. I look at myself as highly capable but not especially “talented.”

Any embarrassing moments?

M: Oh boy, too many to count! Where do I begin? If I kept my mouth shut more I would have less. Now that's a fact. Lol.

Name one thing you can't live without?

M: Coffee. I am hopelessly addicted. sighs

Who was the first person you have ever kissed?

M: I know I kissed my parents. But they don't count!
I kissed a boy (who shall remain nameless) in fourth grade. I was so nervous I about passed out. And it was the most chaste thing imaginable.

Name five things people don't know about you.

M: I did the entire interior carpentry job on our last house.

I speak Spanish well enough to have fun and will learn Italian next. I'd like to collect languages. I understand this is ambitious. Ha!

I'm not crazy about food and have to figure out what to eat every day, (y'know, so I can live and stuff). It's kinda a chore. I had eight ears of corn today because they're in season and I get a little nuts over fresh corn.

I'm not a fan of being 'in charge'. I'd much rather delegate to a natural leader. They're a thing of beauty to watch.

I'm an introvert. No—really. An introvert is someone who doesn't gain energy in [large]social settings. I love a one on one convo or interaction TO DEATH. But get me in a crowd and I feel an immediate energy-suck. Some people that know me well would be aghast at the above statement. Because they know me in the setting of just them and I. It's different depending on the circumstance. I'm perfectly happy in my home, puttering around doing writing, reading, or whatever.

The Barringer Brothers

Book Description: Luke Barringer finds himself in the desert near death, unsure of his name and with no recollection of his past. As the hot sun bears down on him, his will to live slips away, but he can't close his eyes. Sleep is the enemy and now it seems he has found his own slice of hell. But through the mist of his agony, a girl's soft voice drifts over him and the sound of it draws him away from the darkness.

While riding her horse, Evangeline "Angel" Sharpe finds a man bloodied and beaten. Despite knowing that she'll be in trouble for bringing him to the Bedlam MC compound, she takes him home to tend his wounds. While the handsome stranger heals, Angel finds herself falling for him. As the mystery of his past is revealed, she helps him struggle with the truth, a truth that will lead to his true identity . . . an identity that could destroy Angel's world.

Book Description: Luke 'Reno' Barringer knows that the deeper he is sucked into Dreygon Sharpe's world and the Bedlam MC, the harder it will be to get out alive. He has to go soon, but he won't leave without Angel, the girl who has taken control of his heart. Luke unwittingly impresses Dreygon with his abilities, and he decides a feigned loyalty to the club is their best chance at freedom. But if the secret he keeps from Angel is discovered before they are free, it will bring everything to a shattering end.

Angel Sharpe knows Luke is keeping something from her, but she also knows that nothing could shake her love for him. She believes that Luke will eventually gain her grandfather's trust and that she and Luke will leave the compound together. But as the layers of mystery peel away and the truth about Luke is revealed, Angel's dream unravels and she fears she may lose him forever.

Book Description: Luke "Reno" Barringer knows two things for sure - he doesn't fit in Dreygon Sharpe's MC world and he's not leaving it without Angel.

Angel Sharpe feels her whole life slipping away along with the man she loves and there seems to be no way back to happiness.

Luke "Reno" and Evangeline "Angel" have completely captivated me. From the beginning these two grab your attention and do not let go.

In Rain Shadow (book 1 of 5) Luke Barringer finds himself half dead, in the desert, with no recollection as to how he got there and who he is.

Evangeline Sharpe, the feisty beauty finds a strange, but yet handsome man half dead in the desert. She decides to help him even though she knows she will be in a world of trouble.

Evangeline brings him back to her home, a compound built by her family, and has within a deadly motorcycle gang run by her grandfather. Bringing him there puts Luke in more danger as he gets tortured and beaten at every turn. Angel will try her hardest not to let anything happen to him, but at what cost? With her trying to help him physically and mentally it sets off a series of events that will haunt both of these characters. The book itself was fast paced and it kept you reading. Asking yourself who is this man, why did someone beat the shit out of him and leave him for dead. The author did a great job leaving clues and giving hints as to his identity. By the end of the book you get a big surprise and a shocking revelation comes to light.

In Rain Shadow (book 2 of 5) Luke has regained his memory but is keeping it to himself. He doesn't trust anyone with it and feels like if he tells Angel, he will lose her for good. He is desperately trying to figure a way to get them both out of the compound without raising suspicion from her grandfather. You learn more about Luke and his life before he lost his memory, and you also learn how he got into the mess he was in when Angel found him. Meanwhile, her grandfather is coming unhinged and is more power hungry than ever. He tries to merge his motorcycle gang with another with Angel as the prize. In the meantime, Angel is trying to keep everything between everyone on an even keel. Even though Angel is battling her emotions and heart with her head, she eventually decides that the need for her to go is stronger than her need to stay. These two characters have gone through the mill but luckily have each other to get through the worst. This book is littered with emotional turmoil that will make your head spin. The book ends with a doozy of a cliffhanger!

In Rain Shadow (book3 of 5) Angel is completely heartbroken and thinks Luke is dead. What is a girl to do? Use the drugs that are in the compound and escape! While she is on the run from her grandfather and his gang, Luke is desperately searching for her. He enlists the help of his brothers, and they go round and round looking for her. Trying to piece together where she has been and where she is headed. Every time he thinks he has found her, he realizes he is always a step behind. While he is tracking her, he gets a bit of revenge on the people who hurt him and someone close to him. Angel, while on the run, gets captured by one of her grandfather's ex-thugs and becomes really sick. Luke will finally get his way and tracks Angel down, but will it be too late? There are some serious mind games going on in this book, and it will leave you questioning certain things. I can't tell you, because what's the fun in that?

Brilliant writing, with fast paced action and scorching sex scenes. All three books are really worth the read and I highly recommend them all! I can't wait until the next installment comes out! :)

Favorite quotes: "Something wretched had brought Reno to me, but I planned to make him forget all of it. He was here with me now, and I was going to make sure the anguish that plagued him washed away. I planned to absorb every ounce of his pain, whether it was with my body, or my mind, or my love. I didn't need magic in my bag. My heart would lead me." - Rain Shadow Book 1

"Being with you gives me hope, hope that I might leave this bizarre fairy tale and live a real life. I've never had hope before." - Rain Shadow Book 2

"I leaned over and kissed her. "I made a promise awhile back that I wasn't leaving this place without you, Evangeline, and I never break a promise." - Rain Shadow Book 2

"I took her hand. "As far as I'm concerned you're the only thing that is real." -Rain Shadow Book 2

"Luke poured some shampoo in his palm. "With all of those bubbles on your head,  you look like a frosted cupcake. Almost hate to ruin the look." - Rain Shadow Book 3

5 stars for this marvelous trio!

Draken Draglen is in town to get the family business in order. He lives by one rule: only sleep with women of his own kind. When Cess walks down the street to introduce herself, Draken fears he is going to break his rule. He is determined to stay away from her, fearing his dark secret may be revealed, but his need for Cess is too strong. Draken makes a decision that could change not only his life, but that of his family as well.

Book Description: Marilyn Carrington has been hurt by everyone who has ever claimed to love her. Now, she only trusts herself and her .45 caliber pistol. When the sexiest man she has ever seen walks into the bar where she works, she stays clear of him, ignoring his advances, but when he takes the hint and leaves her alone, she finds herself missing him. Marilyn finds she doesn’t care about the danger she senses around him; she wants to know the feeling of love again. Marilyn’s only problem now is whether Showken is really ready for her.

Showken Draglen is known for being a playboy. Loving his freedom, he has never committed to a woman, and doesn’t ever plan to. But when he sees Marilyn, he will do whatever it takes to have her. Unused to rejection, he becomes even more determined to win her. But deep down Showken knows that when she finds out what he truly is, she will run, leaving him with the only option he knows, using his power.

Book Description: Reseda Fire is no ordinary woman. She holds a secret that was forced upon her. Living a double life, she catches the sight of the famous Prince Layern. Instantly drawn to him, she fights the need for more, understanding her life is not the only one she must protect. When Reseda is given the choice between love or freedom, the unthinkable happens.

Prince Layern is no longer celibate, and enjoys each day with a new lady. While on a visit with his brothers, looking for females, he spots Reseda. Her red hair excites him and he wants her in his bed. When she flees, it only encourages him in the chase. Soon, Layern finds out Reseda is more than what he has expected, and that he is now caught up in a fight he knew nothing about. Will Prince Layern betray Reseda, or follow tradition among the Draglen Brothers?

I picked up the first book sometime last year. I thought it was a pretty cool premise to have a book about ten siblings and all dragons. How could you not love something like that? Right? Right! The first book kind of initiates you into the whole world of the Draglen brothers. It gives you a quick glimpse of who's who and what's what. The story itself was steamy enough to keep me reading.

Draken was pretty rude and obnoxious and I loved every second of it. But he turned around, like most men do in these kinds of stories and everything was just fine. Cess was not putting up with his shenanigans no matter how big and mean he was. I applaud you Cess!

In the second book Showken really surprised me. I thought he would be a nasty piece of work, but he turned out to be a bit of a beggar. Say WHAT??? Not only did he do a lot of begging in this book, he bribed his woman with cupcakes, and what he does with those cupcakes.. Mmmmm.... I found Mari a little annoying at times, but that is just a personal thing. The book itself was a bit repetitive for my tastes, but the heat in it was worth the read.

In the third book, Layern went hog wild now that he decides that he no longer wants to be celibate (ahem.. as if) and ends up running into Reseda. She knows who he is but needs to steer clear of him. Just like the other two brothers, he ends up finding out who she is and what she is up to. This book was different from the two above and I think it had more emotional elements to it. Layern goes against the grain, if you will, and he gets himself into a bit of a bind. Reseda, finally gets her "say" and gets the home and family she always wished for.

I am not going to give these books my usual 4 to 5 star ratings because they do need some work. I think with some good editing and clean up, these books can be really awesome!

Hello Temptation!!!

Book Description: The Club X Series, a hot new erotic contemporary romance series by New York Times bestselling author K.M. Scott.

Cassian March, the public face of Tampa's most exclusive nightspot, Club X, has a great life. Women, sex, and money are his for the taking, and no man indulges his desires more. Life is short, and he plays hard. He lives by only one rule—never let a woman get close.

Olivia Lucas needs a job, and if that means working at a club that specializes in making members' wildest fantasies come true, then that's what she'll do. A girl's got to pay the rent, right? She never expected to fall for the gorgeous owner of Club X, though, but a man like him would never go for someone like her. Or would he?

Well hello Mr. Sexy Pants! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, and the wait was SO well worth it!

Cassian March is one of the trio that own Club X, (that would be the roman numeral for ten not the letter X, or so the author kindly tells us) a secret club where members pay top price to join. Stefan, and Kane make up the remainder of the group. All brothers, all hot as sin. Cassian is the spokesperson, if you will, of the three. Stefan takes care or the bar and the parties - and well, so much more... Kane is the muscle with a checkered past.

Cash, as his brothers call him, is a suave piece of work. He takes care of all of the financials and is very much under control of what he does, and umm, who he does. He's a love em and leave em kind of guy now, but that wasn't always who he was, until something or someone changed all of that. Olivia happens to show up, and as much control as he thinks he has, he couldn't be more wrong.

Olivia needs a job after being let go and has been out of work for some time. Her friend tells her about a job at the exclusive Club X. She is hired to be Cash's personal assistant. While she is there she falls for the club owner, but she is very reserved and not the "outgoing" person she would like to be to attract such a man. She does something she would never think of doing... she becomes a member.

While the members get to have special perks, Olivia uses those resources to her advantage. What she doesn't know is that Cash will be doing the seducing. There is a battle of wills in this particular part, and unsaid words that eventually lead to one hot, steamy, and totally erotic scene in a boardroom. HELLO table love!

Once these two come out of the "boardroom" (a little play on words there), everything seems to spiral downward. Someone in Cassian's past comes forth and spoils the party, and Olivia ends up leaving Cash but realizes that they might have a chance if they would just talk, and figure things out. There are more forces working against them, people who you think are friends are really not, stories flying around, but mostly Cassian himself will have a major part in the heartache. When Cassian finally realizes some things can't be held on to, he might be a little too late. His brothers play an integral part at the end, and one of his brothers is not at all what he seems. I can't wait to see what this author has in store for these guys! This was an excellent read that I could not put down!

5 stars for this incredible book!

Avoidables 2

Book Description: Purple's War

Being a dragon half breed Avoidable is hard work. One best friend has been kidnapped and the other is in the Perfect prison for bombing the compound. How could I rescue them both?

All my life I've believed that love was useless. I believed that I was useless. Until I became a warrior. The rebels are not what I thought they were. They're trying to unite with the Perfects as much as we are. They're just a bit better at making things happen. Going to their camp was a risk, but I had to find Hope. Not only did I find my best friend, I found a lot more. Friends, family, and could I finally believe in it...love?

Ah, Purple.. Hope's best friend. This is a continuation of the last story but focuses a lot more on Purple, the half breed - part human, part dragon.

Hope has been taken to a rebel camp and Purple searches out a way to rescue her, or at least make contact with her. When he finally reaches her, he also gets captured. What he doesn't realize is that there is more to this camp than he realizes. He meets someone from his past that he didn't think he would ever see again - No, I won't spoil it for you. He also sees that Hope is taken care of, which is a good thing, because I think he would tear someone's head off if it were any different. He meets a couple of women that will test his resolve and his "feelings" toward love and relationships. Purple turns out to champion Jason, who really surprises him, by showing up at the camp.

While Hope still battles with her feelings for Jason, at what one would hope; to be a surprise turn of events, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Jason will have to man up some more if he wants to prove true, but you get left with a sense of loss when he has to leave.

There are so many uphill battles still left for the Avoidables and Rebels to deal with, it makes you wonder if they will ever live in harmony with the "Perfects". I can't wait until the next installment to find out!

Favorite quotes: "Men that are not emotionally stable want women to appear as if they're not interested. That way the man doesn't have to step up emotionally. Just because a woman is independent, doesn't mean she is any less emotional. The true power a man can have is when he meets his woman emotionally in the middle. That way, he gives her permission to be her feminine self."

"The answer to all this is simple, Purple. Be responsible for your own happiness and then, when you meet a woman that intrigues you, see her for what she truly is inside. Men put blinkers on, even when they know the truth."

Avoidables

Book Description:
This serial is dedicated to all those that feel discriminated against because of the way they look. You are beautiful!

My name is Hope and I'd like to introduce you to our world. Earth is full of two races, the Avoidables and Perfects. I'm an Avoidable because I only have one arm. I was born that way apparently. Because of my defect, my mother had to move to the Lower Side. The Perfects are humans that have no physical flaws. They live in luxury, while we live in filth.

Avoidables have defects ranging from looks to unexplained gifts. Some of us are half breeds. Dragons and animals were known to have bred with the human race thousands of years ago. We all live in cities, usually divided in two. The Perfects live on the Upper Side, while the Avoidables inhabit the Lower Side. We've been consumed by hate for a race that rejects us so heartlessly. We've become dangerous.

I like to sneak over to their side sometimes. It's fun to watch how they live. To watch their perfect gorgeous faces react to the one armed freak. Until I met Jason anyway. He ignored the fact that I had one arm, even daring to touch my shoulder stub. What happened when he did, blew my mind. I was no longer an ugly Avoidable. I was much, much better than any Perfect.

I got this book as freebie find. When I first started to read it, I wasn't sure what to make of it. It was fast paced and I really was confused to what the heck was going on. But while I kept reading, it became clear to me what the book was about. It had a sense of a love story on the rise, but it was more than that.

It was poignant, eloquently lovely and powerful in it's words. It truly did make an impact on me. How people perceive you, how people can be judgmental and what the effects of those judgments can do to someone.  It brought tears to my eyes, knowing that even though this was set in the future, there is a lot of truth in it in this day and age.

There are a lot of things going on in this first book, and you have to be careful to try and make sense of it. Like the character you feel a bit frustrated with it all. So many secrets yet untold, a lot of action unfolding right before your eyes. It was great! The end made me want to get the second one just to find out what happens. I highly recommend this book for a quick read, and then you have to follow it up with the second in the series. There, you will find more questions answered.

4.5 stars for this lovely book!

Sign Me Up!

Book Description: The Star Ship Calypso may not be state of the art but to the one hundred passengers and crew it is the means to get to another world and more specifically Pleasure World. Once there all manner of pleasures can be experienced and for the connoisseur in carnal ways possible in no other place in the universe. The Company’s intension is that their guests experience as much carnal pleasure as possible for the entire duration of the cruise and stop over.

Enter if you will the Clarke's. A couple in their mid-fifties; Mr Clarke a business man and his lady of leisure Lidia. For them this was to be the holiday of a lifetime, although Paul suspects he will be saving up to do it all again. Lidia is looking forward to the bragging rights that a trip to Pleasure World will bring. The glossy brochure certainly suggests that there will be loads to brag about even if she did only skim read it. For her and many others this will not only be a trip of a lifetime but a trip that will change her outlook upon life entirely, softening her and moulding her in to a much more sensual person.

Others to follow in their adventures are three young ladies fresh from college who get to join the expensive cruise upon the Calypso as the result of optimistically entering a competition. For them this was beyond the chance of a lifetime as they join the one hundred guests that are all intent on seeking as much pleasure on both the Calypso and more importantly on the Pleasure World to follow. Filled with life and a desire to try everything that comes their way, these guests are exactly the material the Company enjoys to have on their cruise.

The crew of the Calypso are no less vital to the tale as the Company has told them to keep their hands off the guests and concentrate on their duties; but that is just never going to happen. So a blind eye is turned and one and all find a way to feel and experience their journey with and mostly for their guests.

This book was recommended by Mr. Browning himself. Of course, I didn't know what I thought about reading a sci-fi book. I have read a couple of them previously, but honest to god... who wants to read about men having all sorts of tentacles and blue people? Not that I am knocking it if you happen to like those sorts of things, but I am not a big fan of reading it.

Mr. Browning assured me that there were no men with tentacles, and just a bit of the sci-fi element. OK! I took his word on it and bought it.

To my astonishment I completely enjoyed this book immensely!!! Not only was it a hot read, it was amusing at times, and devilishly fun. By 16% or was it 19%, I was hooked! I wanted to sign up for this cruise! I even tweeted something about a certain young Marine named Matt, that was a total hottie and had a short stint in the book. I couldn't help it. He was freaking yummy!

The rest of the book had me on pins and needles to see what adventures were coming up next and what rooms were going to be used. Oh hell! I think my favorite was the 0g room! LOL! If you want to know what the heck I am talking about, you have to read it!! Keeping to his word; there weren't any men with tentacles (THANK GOD!) I don't think I would of handled that very well... Not to say that there weren't any interesting gadgets or erm, other things. :) The end of the book was cut rather short, and I felt like it was incomplete. Maybe because I was hoping for more fun. But whatever the case, it was an awesome read!

So, if you want a great erotic sci-fi read, this one is most definitely the one for you! I recommend that you read this on the weekend, or when you have access to a very cold shower! You will most definitely need it after reading this one.  A 5 star rating for Mr. Cole Browning.

Smoldering Hot!!!

Book Description: From the NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author, Marata Eros
SMOLDERING WET is an erotic short story~

Zoe Scott finds herself in a sexual slump after the fun at University President Taylor's party this last summer. Zoe is accustomed to being the schemer of she and Dara's sexcapades and needs another fix.

Now that she has a vanilla firefighter boyfriend, she yearns for something more.

Something Darrell can't provide.

Or can he... ?

Oh Hell! Marata did it AGAIN!! By again, I mean, bring us a smoldering piece of heaven! This erotic story was nothing short of brilliant!!

Zoe got a little taste of what her new boyfriend is really like, instead of the vanilla guy she thought he was. With a little help from her best friend, Dara, and some of his fire house buddies, Zoe gets a little hosing down.

Marata always amazes me with her gritty, raw, and down right smoking hot stories. If you like these types of books, this one is for you!  Great start to a series that I know will be spectacularly hot!! I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of Zoe's collection.

Happy Reading!

The Final Round

Book Description:

When Gladiator Inc, an adult toy company expands their market to familiarize the ‘vanilla’ world with the elements of BDSM, the result is a pay-per-view reality show with video feeds streamed live to subscribers. The show, Dom Wars, is a competition to determine the Top Dom that will become the spokesperson for the company.

The contestants all wear cameras to film every moment and angle of the competition, while they complete various challenges to determine who has ultimately Dominated various elements of themselves.

The hero and heroine of the series, Lucian Bane and Tara Reese, have barely made it into the Sixth and Final Round of Dom Wars. This week-long Survival Round will determine the Top Dom, once and for all.

The contestants are taken to an uninhabited island, where they will have to cross formidable jungle terrain. First Dom to reach the boat anchored on the other side of the island wins the million dollars and the title.

Seems simple. Except Lucian’s old adversary, the Sadist Jase Duff from Round One, has been tasked with making sure none of the five teams make it to the boat.

If he is successful, he wins the prize, only it's not money that Jase Duff cares about, its revenge on Lucian and Tara. And his sadistic need to inflict pain makes it game on.

The last round... what a bitter sweet book this was. I anxiously awaited the release and couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

In this round Lucian, Tara, Preacher and his wife were thrust into an island to try and nab 5 different flags in different locations. Once they nabbed all 5 they had to make their way to a boat where freedom awaited. Unfortunately for them, they had a bit or a lot of set backs caused by non other than Jase the sadist.

This book is different than the last one. In the last book there were a lot of funny, light heart-ed moments, with this one; there was a lot of chaos and deep emotions that raced to the forefront. The love and devotion you feel from Lucian to Tara, is one for the record books. You cheer them on when things seem to be looking up, and you want to punch something when things go wrong.  And they do go wrong..

Steve makes an unexpected appearance, and with his witty and endearing comments, it made for that particular part of the book hysterically funny, even in the midst of all of the chaos.

The book ended with such a WOW, that I was sad to see it all end. Well job done by the authors. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
