After waiting with baited breath for this book, I didn't immediately buy it. I waited just a tiny bit because I KNEW that it was going to be an emotionally charged tidal wave. I wasn't wrong. From the beginning to the very end, I had one type of emotion or other bouncing to and fro like a ping pong on speed.. the authors did an exceptionally great job with this book.

Morgan finds herself being rescued by her best friend Angel and the ubber fabulous, stunning, and hot as hell, Finlay (Shh, he's my favorite) from the so not very nice Carlos' clutches. When they get there, and what they see is not for the faint of heart. She is truly a mess. They end up bringing her back home to Ohio, where it all began, and her life changed. From the ride back home, you find yourself chuckling at Angel's antics, and sighing with pleasure with Finlay's soft spoken words and loving care that he gives to Morgan. You will - yes, you damn well will - get teary eyed from the emotions and turmoil she has to face, even such a simple question as "Why?" bring on the waterworks.

In this installment the author's bring back some of the other characters such as Tanner, Felix, Julianne (aka Julie Annie - According to Angel), and a special appearance by a certain someone (I'm not telling who, you have to read it and find out!). If you are wondering what happens to the bad guy, well... not to worry, Carlos gets his due, but by an unlikely hero. This book brings to light a lesson in friendships, love, and family.. even if they are not bound by blood. These authors have truly an amazing gift, and this book shows it. A 5 star for Brandi and Becky!
